Description:
This comforting casserole combines tender ground beef, hearty vegetables, and a rich tomato-based sauce, all baked together under a layer of gooey cheese. It’s the perfect family dinner for chilly nights or when you need a satisfying one-dish meal.

Ingredients (Serves 6)

1 lb (450 g) ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 medium carrots, diced

1 bell pepper, chopped (any color)

1 medium zucchini, diced

1 cup frozen peas or corn

1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 cup beef broth

2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp dried Italian herbs (or oregano + basil)

½ tsp paprika

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 cups cooked pasta or cooked rice (optional, for layering)

1 ½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
