Fried Chicken Sandwich (drumstick style with hot sauce)
Fried Pork Chop Sandwich
Here are recipes for both so you can make whichever you crave.
- Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich (Drumstick Style)
Ingredients:
4 chicken drumsticks
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
Salt & pepper, to taste
Vegetable oil, for frying
Sandwich bread or buns
Hot sauce (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 2 hours (overnight is best).
In a bowl, mix flour with spices, salt, and pepper.
Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
Remove chicken from buttermilk, dredge in seasoned flour, and shake off excess.
Fry drumsticks 12–15 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
Place one fried drumstick between two slices of sandwich bread, drizzle with hot sauce, and enjoy.
