12 oz (340 g) smoked sausage (andouille or kielbasa), sliced into rounds
1 tbsp olive oil or butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups (480 ml) heavy cream
1 cup (240 ml) chicken broth
1 ½ tsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp black pepper
½ cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
Salt to taste
