Amish Onion Fritters
Crispy, golden, sweet-onion fritters that taste like a fair-style treat.
Ingredients

2 large onions, thinly sliced

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tbsp sugar

2 tsp baking powder
-
1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 cup milk (a little more if needed)

Oil for frying
Instructions

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

Add the milk and stir until you have a thick batter.

Fold in the sliced onions until well coated.

Heat oil in a skillet (medium to medium-high).

Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil.

Fry until golden on both sides, about 2–3 minutes per side.

Drain on paper towels and serve with ranch, honey mustard, or your favorite dip.
Tip: For extra crispiness, add 1–2 tbsp cornstarch to the batter.
