Ingredients (Serves 4)
1 lb ground beef (or ground sirloin)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
1 small red bell pepper, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cup beef broth
2 tbsp ketchup (optional for slight sweetness)
1 tbsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (for slurry)
Salt & pepper, to taste
4 hoagie rolls or hamburger buns
8 slices provolone cheese (or mozzarella/cheese whiz for authentic flavor)
