Preheat Air Fryer:
Set to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes. -
Assemble the Sandwich:

Butter one side of each slice of bread.

Place one slice, buttered side down, in the air fryer basket.

Add cheese slices on top (and any extras like ham or tomato).

Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing up.

Air Fry:
Cook for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted. -
Serve Hot:
Let the sandwich rest for 1 minute before cutting — this keeps the cheese from oozing out too quickly.
Tip:
For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of garlic powder or Parmesan on the buttered sides before air frying.
