Inspect your strawberries. Remove any mushy, moldy, or overly soft berries to prevent them from spoiling the rest.
Make a vinegar bath: Mix 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water in a bowl.
Soak the strawberries for about 2–3 minutes. This kills mold spores and bacteria without affecting flavor.
Gently rinse the berri
es with fresh water to remove any vinegar residue.
Dry thoroughly using paper towels or a clean kitchen towel. Moisture is the enemy of freshness!
Line your storage container with paper towels to absorb any excess moisture.
Place the dried strawberries inside, ideally in a single layer, and store the container in the refrigerator with the lid slightly ajar or ventilated.
