Ingredients:
For the Filling:
1 large green cabbage

500g (1 lb) ground beef (or a beef/pork mix)

1/2 cup uncooked white rice

1 small onion, finely diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 egg

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp paprika (optional)

1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

 For the Tomato Sauce:
1 tbsp olive oil

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (400g / 14 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp sugar

1/2 tsp dried thyme or oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup water or beef broth (adjust for consistency)
