“Southern Soul Food Plate: BBQ Chicken, Seasoned Rice, Collard Greens & Cornbread”

Ingredients:

1 cup cornmeal

1 cup all-purpose flour

⅓ cup sugar

1 tbsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 cup milk

2 eggs

½ cup melted butter

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking dish or cast-iron skillet.

In a bowl, mix dry ingredients (cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt).

In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, and melted butter.

Combine wet and dry ingredients. Pour into baking dish.

Bake 20–25 minutes, until golden brown.
