It’s the kind of discovery that makes you regret every bite. A landscaper from Toulouse had a most unpleasant experience on October 15, just as he was about to enjoy a well-deserved lunch break. Looking for a quick meal, he bought a canned “American-style tuna salad” from an Aldi supermarket in Toulouse.
A Taste of Fermentation
After a few bites, something strange caught his attention — a fermented taste. Curious, he took a closer look at his meal and made a very unappetizing discovery. “My eye was then caught by a suspicious movement at the bottom of the can,” he told La Dépêche du Midi. The result of his discovery? A mishap that would make anyone lose their appetite.
He Begins to Vomit
Before his eyes, two small white maggots were moving casually among the corn, tuna, and tomato. “I must have swallowed some,” the disgusted man from Toulouse lamented. He later shared a video on social media. “My first reaction was to vomit — I threw up what I had eaten from the can,” he added.
