Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream butter and sugars
In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla
Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
Mix dry ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually stir into the wet mixture until just combined.
Add chocolate chips
Fold in chocolate chips (or other mix-ins like M&Ms, white chocolate, or sprinkles).
Form cookies
Scoop dough using a medium cookie scoop (about 2 Tbsp per cookie).
Place on baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
Bake
Bake 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden but centers look slightly underbaked.
Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Tip: For that Crumbl look, press a few extra chocolate chips on top of each cookie right after baking.
