Pink Party Vanilla Cake Bars

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven:
Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9-inch or 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.

  2. Make the batter:

    • In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

    • Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully combined.

    • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

    • Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk. Stir just until smooth.

  3. Bake:

    • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

    • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick comes out clean.

    • Cool completely before frosting.

  4. Prepare the frosting:

    • Beat softened butter until creamy.

    • Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until fluffy and spreadable.

    • Tint with pink food coloring until desired shade is reached.

  5. Assemble:

    • Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled cake.

    • Add sprinkles on top for a festive look.

    • Cut into bars and serve.

Storage:
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Tips:

  • For a lighter pink, use a tiny drop of gel food coloring.

  • Add a touch of almond extract for a bakery-style flavor.

  • These bars can also be made ahead and frozen (frost after thawing).
