Instructions:
Prepare the pudding mixture:
In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until thickened (about 2 minutes). Fold in the whipped topping until smooth and creamy.
Assemble the layers:
In a 9×13-inch dish, spread a single layer of graham crackers on the bottom.
Spread half of the pudding mixture evenly over the crackers.
Add another layer of graham crackers, then the remaining pudding mixture.
Top with a final layer of graham crackers.
Add the chocolate frosting:
Remove the lid and foil from the chocolate frosting and microwave for 15–20 seconds until slightly softened (do not overheat).
Pour and spread evenly over the top graham cracker layer.
Chill:
Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the crackers to soften into a cake-like texture.
Tip:
For a homemade touch, you can make your own chocolate ganache by melting 1 cup of chocolate chips with ½ cup of heavy cream instead of using store-bought frosting.
