Nacho Tacos – Street Food Style
Nacho Tacos are the ultimate street food mash-up: crispy taco shells or tortillas loaded with the bold, spicy flavors of fully loaded nachos. They’re stuffed with seasoned ground beef or shredded chicken, gooey melted cheese, creamy guacamole, zesty salsa, sour cream, and crunchy toppings like jalapeños, lettuce, and crushed tortilla chips. Think of them as nachos you can hold in your hand — bold, messy, and irresistible.
Ingredients:
For the taco filling:
1 lb (450 g) ground beef or shredded chicken
1 tablespoon taco seasoning (or homemade: chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika)
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup water
For assembling:
6–8 small taco shells (hard or soft)
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Mexican blend, or Monterey Jack)
½ cup salsa or pico de gallo
¼ cup pickled jalapeños (optional)
1 cup shredded lettuce
½ cup guacamole or diced avocado
¼ cup sour cream or crema
Crushed tortilla chips (for crunch)
Fresh cilantro and lime wedges, for garnish
