Mom marinates pork chops in the most delightful sauce. You have to give it a try.

Instructions

Make the marinade:

In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oil, honey (or brown sugar), garlic, mustard, vinegar, Worcestershire, thyme, pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Marinate the pork chops:

Place pork chops in a large resealable bag or shallow dish.

Pour marinade over them, making sure they’re well coated.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is best for maximum flavor).

Cook the pork chops:

Grill: Preheat grill to medium-high. Cook chops 4–5 minutes per side, until golden and internal temp reaches 145°F (63°C).

Pan-sear: Heat a little oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook 4–5 minutes per side, then reduce heat and cook another 2–3 minutes until done.

Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place chops in a baking dish with the marinade and bake 20–25 minutes, until fully cooked.

Rest and serve:

Let pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Spoon extra pan juices or marinade (if baked) over the top.

Serving Ideas:

Pair with mashed potatoes or buttery rice pilaf.

Add a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh green salad.

For a Southern touch, serve with cornbread and collard greens.
