Instructions
Prep oven & pans:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or grease lightly.
Make vanilla batter:
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with milk, until just combined.
Make chocolate batter:
In a small bowl, mix cocoa powder with hot water to form a smooth paste.
Transfer about 1 cup of the vanilla batter to this bowl and stir until well blended.
Create marble effect:
Spoon a little vanilla batter into each muffin cup, followed by some chocolate batter, then more vanilla.
Use a toothpick or skewer to gently swirl the batters together for a marbled look.
Bake:
Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool & enjoy:
Let muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Tip: For extra indulgence, sprinkle chocolate chips on top before baking.
