Prepare the Meatloaf:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, milk, eggs, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and parsley.

Shape into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.

Make the Tomato Beef Sauce:

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.

Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, sugar, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.

Simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Bake the Meatloaf:

Spoon half of the sauce over the meatloaf.

Bake for 50–60 minutes, basting with the remaining sauce halfway through.

Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.

Serve:

Slice and serve with extra sauce on top.

Great with mashed potatoes, buttered pasta, or steamed green beans.

Tip: Add shredded mozzarella or provolone on top during the last 10 minutes of baking for a cheesy Italian finish! 🧀
