Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 2: Layer the Fruit
Pour crushed pineapple with its juice into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Spread cherry pie filling evenly over the pineapple layer.
Step 3: Add the Cake Mix
Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit layers — do not stir.
Step 4: Add the Butter
Drizzle melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix, making sure most of the surface is covered.
Step 5: Bake
Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
Step 6: Serve
Serve warm or at room temperature, topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
