Easy Layered Taco Bake

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat to 375°F (190°C).

Cook Beef: In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

Season: Add taco seasoning and water; simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.

Assemble Layers:

In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of salsa.

Add 2 tortillas, overlapping slightly.

Spread a layer of refried beans, then beef mixture, then cheese.

Repeat layers (tortillas, beans, beef, cheese) until all ingredients are used. Top with cheese and salsa.

Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.

Serve: Cool slightly, then slice and serve with sour cream and toppings.
