Easy Cheddar Cheese Rolls

Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough

In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

Add flour, salt, and melted butter. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead for about 8 minutes (or use a stand mixer with dough hook) until smooth and elastic.

2. First Rise

Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

3. Shape the Rolls

Punch down dough and divide into 10–12 equal pieces.

Flatten each piece slightly, sprinkle cheddar cheese inside, then roll into balls (cheese-filled).

Place on a greased baking sheet or in a baking dish.

4. Second Rise

Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.

5. Bake

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Brush rolls with beaten egg (optional, for shine).

Bake 18–20 minutes, until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.

6. Serve

Enjoy warm, soft rolls straight from the oven! Perfect with soups, chili, or just with butter.

Optional Variations:

Add garlic powder and parsley to the dough for Garlic Cheddar Rolls.

Use a mix of cheddar and mozzarella for extra gooey cheese pulls.

Sprinkle extra cheese on top before baking for a golden cheesy crust.
