Cook:
Heat a lightly greased skillet over medium heat. Drop 2 tablespoons of batter per cake, flatten slightly, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp. -
Serve:
Enjoy warm with butter and syrup for a sweet version or alongside savory dishes like sausage or collard greens.
Tip:
For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika or diced jalapeños to the batter.
