Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispies Bars

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan
    Line an 8×8 or 9×9 pan with parchment paper (for thicker bars) or a 9×13 pan (for thinner bars).

  2. Melt the chocolate mixture
    In a saucepan over low heat, melt together:

    • chocolate chips

    • peanut butter

    • butter
      Stir until smooth and fully melted.

  3. Add vanilla
    Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. Mix with cereal
    In a large bowl, pour the chocolate mixture over the Rice Krispies.
    Gently fold until everything is fully coated.

  5. Press into pan
    Transfer mixture into your prepared pan.
    Press down firmly with a spatula to make an even layer.

  6. Set
    Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour, or let it sit at room temperature until firm.

  7. Slice & enjoy
    Cut into squares and serve!


Optional Add-Ins

  • Mini marshmallows

  • Crushed peanuts

  • Sea salt on top

  • A drizzle of melted white chocolate
