Instructions
1. Make the Mashed Potatoes

Boil potatoes until fork-tender.

Drain and mash with butter, warm milk, salt, and pepper.

Keep warm.
2. Prepare the Steaks

In one bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk.

Dredge each steak in the flour → then egg mixture → then back in the flour.

Press the flour onto the steak so it sticks well.
3. Fry

Heat about ½ inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Fry steaks 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.

Place on a wire rack or paper towels to drain.
4. Make the Gravy

Drain most of the oil, leaving 3 tablespoons in the pan.

Whisk in the flour and cook 1 minute.

Slowly add milk while whisking until smooth.

Simmer until thickened.

Season with salt and pepper.
5. Serve
Plate the mashed potatoes, top the steaks with gravy, and serve hot.
