Cheesy Fries Made from Boiled Potatoes

Instructions

Boil potatoes: Place whole potatoes in salted water and boil until just tender (about 15–20 minutes). Drain and let them cool slightly.

Cut into fries: Once cool enough to handle, cut potatoes into thick fries or wedges.

Season: Toss with cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and olive oil until evenly coated.

Bake or air-fry:

Oven method: Spread on a parchment-lined tray and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.

Air fryer method: Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 15–18 minutes, shaking halfway through.

Add cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheese over the hot fries and return to the oven/air fryer for 3–4 minutes, until melted and bubbly.

Serve: Top with your favorite garnishes and enjoy immediately.
