Instructions:
Marinate the Beef:
In a bowl, combine beef slices with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and half of the black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.
Prepare the Stir-Fry:
Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sliced onion, sauté until fragrant and slightly translucent.
Cook the Beef:
Add the marinated beef to the pan. Stir-fry quickly for about 3-4 minutes until the beef is browned but still tender.
Add Vegetables:
Toss in the bell pepper and green onions. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes. If using, sprinkle sugar and adjust salt to taste.
Finish with Black Pepper:
Add the remaining black pepper, stir well to combine. Cook for another minute.
Serve:
Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
Tips:
For extra flavor, add a splash of soy sauce or a drizzle of sesame oil at the end.
Use fresh cracked black pepper for the best aroma and heat.
