Instructions:
Preheat oven: Set to 425°F (220°C).
Prepare potatoes: Scrub potatoes clean under running water and pat dry.
Coat: Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle generously with coarse salt.
Pierce: Use a fork to prick the potatoes 4–5 times to allow steam to escape while baking.
Bake: Place directly on the oven rack (or on a baking sheet for easier cleanup) and bake for 45–60 minutes, depending on size, until the skin is crisp and the inside is soft when pierced with a fork.
Serve: Slice open, fluff the inside with a fork, and add your favorite toppings.
