Philly Cheesesteak

Philly Cheesesteak

Description:
Originating from Philadelphia, this iconic sandwich layers thin, juicy slices of beef with sautéed onions (and often peppers) inside a crusty yet soft roll, topped with gooey melted cheese. It’s fast, filling, and incredibly satisfying.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

1 lb ribeye steak (or sirloin), thinly sliced*

2 tbsp vegetable oil or butter

1 large onion, thinly sliced

1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional, not always traditional)

8 slices provolone cheese (or 1 cup Cheez Whiz for classic style)

4 soft hoagie rolls

Salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste

*Tip: Partially freeze steak for 30–40 minutes before slicing to get super thin strips.
